BIGS SINCE 1949

Since 1949, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the National Capital Area (BBBSNCA) has been empowering young people to realize their full potential through the power of mentorship.

Our Mission: Create and support mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

Our Vision: All young people have access to a safe, supportive mentoring relationship that helps them achieve a brighter future.

Through mentoring programs that are professionally supported and youth-centered, young people (“Littles”) are connected with caring adult mentors (“Bigs”) who help them build confidence, make positive choices, and reach their full potential. These relationships are designed to create long-term impact across education, career, and life.

BBBSNCA serves children and families across the National Capital Region including Washington, D.C., and Montgomery, Prince George’s, and Frederick Counties in Maryland, as well as Loudoun, Fairfax, and Arlington Counties in Northern Virginia.
