WASHINGTON, D.C., October, 27 2026 – Big Brothers Big Sisters of the National Capital Area (BBBSNCA) is pleased to announce a partnership with Spinners Pinball Arcade in Frederick, Maryland.

Through this partnership, our Bigs and Littles can enjoy a full day of unlimited play by presenting a current Big Benefits card upon arrival.

By joining our Big Benefits program, Spinners gives our matches another welcoming place to spend time together, share a laugh, and make lasting memories.

“We’re so grateful to Joe Said and the Spinners team for opening their doors to our Bigs and Littles, making it easier for them to enjoy a day together without worrying about the cost,” said Michael Sanzi, President & CEO of BBBSNCA. “When a young person spends time with someone who listens, encourages them, and enjoys their company, it builds trust and a sense of belonging. Something as simple as playing a game together can open the door to a conversation and deepen that connection. Spinners is helping create those moments, and that means a great deal to us.”

Spinners features more than 100 pinball and arcade games spanning nearly seven decades. The arcade is owned and operated by Pinball EDU, a nonprofit dedicated to combating social isolation through play and creating opportunities for meaningful connection.

Joe Said, Executive Director of Spinners, shared why this partnership is a natural fit for the organization:

“At Spinners we believe play has the power to bring people together and build lasting connections. That belief aligns naturally with the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters. By welcoming Bigs and Littles to play together at no cost, we’re creating opportunities for mentors and young people to share experiences, strengthen their relationships, and make memories together. Sometimes the most meaningful connections happen when you’re simply having fun.”

This partnership also carries a personal connection. Mark Barlet, Director of Impact at Pinball EDU, was once a Little himself. His experience inspired him to reach out to our team and explore how Spinners could support mentoring relationships in the National Capital Area.
