WASHINGTON, D.C., September 2026 – Big Brothers Big Sisters of the National Capital Area (BBBSNCA) is proud to receive a 2026 grant through ViaPath Foundation’s Bright Futures Fund.
The Bright Futures Fund supports youth-focused organizations and programs that provide mentoring, education, family connection, alternatives to incarceration, after-school programming, sports access, housing support, and early intervention.
BBBSNCA is one of 22 organizations awarded funding through the Foundation’s 2026 Impact Grant Portfolio, which spans 14 states and includes four funding pillars: Bright Futures Fund, Champions of Change, 2C Your Impact and Operation Veteran Reentry.
Through our community-based, school-based, and workplace-based mentoring programs, we connect young people—known as “Littles”—with caring adult mentors who help them build self-confidence, make positive, healthy choices, and explore new possibilities for their futures.
Our mentoring programs include the Mentoring Children of Promise Initiative, which provides children with incarcerated parents with consistent mentorship and encouragement as they navigate the challenges of parental incarceration.
ViaPath Foundation previously awarded BBBSNCA with a grant in 2024.
“We are incredibly grateful to the ViaPath Foundation for supporting our mission once again,” said Michael Sanzi, President & CEO of BBBSNCA. “Every child deserves someone who shows up, believes in them and helps them see what is possible. We are thankful for ViaPath’s continued partnership and investment in our Littles’ futures.”
Established in 2022 by ViaPath Technologies, ViaPath Foundation supports individuals, families and communities affected by incarceration. Its grant programs address youth opportunity, family connections, advocacy, education, employment and successful reentry into the community.
“These organizations are doing essential work at critical moments in people’s lives,” said Naseem Caplette, ViaPath Foundation Board Chair. “ViaPath Foundation is proud to support programs that are creating meaningful impact in communities across the country.”
