Tom Feil

Tom Feil is Treasurer for Capital One Financial Corporation.

Capital One is a diversified financial services company that offers a broad spectrum of financial products and services to consumers, small businesses and commercial clients including credit

cards, automobile loans, small business lending, and deposit and savings products, and has approximately $200 billion in deposits and approximately $300 billion in total assets.

As Treasurer, Mr. Feil is responsible for Capital One’s overall liquidity risk management, asset and liability management, for coordinating its global wholesale funding, and overseeing the company’s investment portfolio. He joined Capital One in 2000, and responsibilities in his previous roles included the company’s overall capital management and funding, primarily through the Securitization markets.

Prior to joining Capital One, Mr. Feil gained more than 10 years of securitization experience at MBNA, where he established that company’s UK, Canadian, and cross border securitization programs.

Mr. Feil is active in the community and has served for the past 20 years as a Board member of the Big Brother Big Sisters organization of the National Capital Area (BBBSNCA). The BBBSNCA celebrates over 100 years of service by making a positive difference in the lives of children in the greater Washington region through professionally supported long-term mentoring relationships. Mr. Feil holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
