Big Brothers Big Sisters of the National Capital Area Honored with National Impact Award
WASHINGTON D.C. – June 25, 2025 – Big Brothers Big Sisters of the National Capital Area (BBBSNCA) was recently awarded the prestigious 2024 Impact Award by Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. This national recognition celebrates agencies that demonstrate exceptional performance in the quality and consistency of their mentoring relationships.
The Impact Award is presented to agencies that surpass rigorous benchmarks, including a 12-month retention rate of at least 76% for Community-Based and School Based Plus matches. Additionally, agencies must achieve either a 9-month School Based retention rate of 74% or a 12-month rate of 58%. These metrics were measured from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.
