Big Sister Denise can be counted on by her Little Sister . . .

Big Sister Denise and her Little Sister Patricia explored Washington, DC and found some amazing places: Latino fairs, Latino restaurants and Latino museum exhibitions.

Activities sponsored by Big Brothers Big Sisters helped Denise and Patricia cement their match relationship.

Denise is a bilingual Californian from a very close and caring family. She graduated from Georgetown University and attended the full immersion program at the Universidad Antonoma de Madrid, Spain and speaks Spanish fluently.

Patricia comes from a family of five brothers and a sister, so she was shy. Denise encouraged Patricia to be confident and daring. Thanks to her Big Sister, Patricia was able to improve her communication and reading skills. Denise would remind Patricia that “that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.”
